ASLA Summer Internship Opportunities

ASLA seeks two full-time 10 week summer interns. The ASLA Education Programs Intern will analyze and identify trends in accredited landscape architecture education, research current community college and unaccredited programs affiliated with landscape architecture, and participate in the Diversity Summit for the purposes of developing resources to support the LAAB and ASLA’s career discovery and diversity program. Bruce Boody Landscape Architect, Inc. has an opening for an Entry-level Landscape Architect/Designer in our studio located in Whitefish, Montana. Whitefish is a beautiful mountain and ski town home to a world-class ski resort, surrounded by mountains and spectacular, unspoiled nature located near Glacier National Park. In addition to this outdoor setting, the town features a mixed array of shops, coffee houses, restaurants, with a very active and involved community.

Working in this setting, our downtown studio is seeking creative, enthusiastic candidates for an Entry/Mid-level Landscape Architect/Designer position. We are seeking a new team member with the ability to delve into designing and drafting on day one. Additional responsibilities include assisting the design team with research, master planning, conceptual site design, graphic representation, and construction documentation.

The candidate should be passionate about design and demonstrate strong graphic, written and communication skills. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite is required. The successful candidate will have the ability to present ideas through hand sketches, computer graphics, and verbal communication. Knowledge of the regional climate and planting palette is desirable. Additional programs used in the office include Land F/X, Civil 3d, Revit, and SketchUp. Knowledge of one or more of these programs is a bonus, but is not required.

Successful candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and have a professional Bachelor’s or Master’s design degree from an accredited institution.
