LandDesign is looking for creative and dynamic Civil Engineering and Landscape Architecture students to join us for our annual internship program happening in summer, 2019! LandDesign offers award-winning urban design, branding, civil engineering, and landscape architecture solutions to public and private sector clients across the globe. Fallingwater Summer Landscape Internship (2 openings): Fallingwater, the architectural masterwork designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, seeks applications for the McKenna Foundation summer landscape internship. The landscape interns are responsible for the design and installation of a project defined by the Operations Department for the Fallingwater grounds. The interns will work as a team to implement the approved design/build project. Cyclical maintenance of the Fallingwater landscape will also be part of daily responsibilities. This internship pays an hourly wage of $10 and includes free on-site housing. Interns are responsible to provide their own food, linens, laundry supplies and incidentals. The Rivers, Trails & Conservation Assistance (RTCA) program fellow will work with NPS Conservation and Outdoor Recreation Programs’ RTCA staff and local partners on community-led natural resource conservation and outdoor recreation projects that connect people to close-to-home nature and the outdoors. The work with selected communities in the northwest includes community assessments, site inventories and analysis, facilitating community engagement, and planning and design recommendations and will involve occasional travel.
