Bachelor of Arts, Interior Design

The four-year Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design degree offered at the School of Design + Construction is accredited by the Council of Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA).  It typically takes a full-time student taking approximately 15 credits per semester four years to complete the degree program. The following student achievement data was collected using institutional records and an exit survey that was administered at the time of graduation.  All graduating students responded to the survey.  Individual contacts were made through December 2018 to establish final job placement rates.

Student Attrition and Retention

92% of students admitted in the fall of 2017 returned in the fall of 2018, putting attrition at 8%.

Graduation Rates:

Of the students graduating in 2018, 46.2% graduated in 4 years.

Acceptance into Graduate Programs:

12% of students who graduated in 2019 applied for graduate school, and all were accepted.

Job Placement Rates:

86% of students who graduated in 2018 are employed in interior design or a related profession.
