Yekang Ko, Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture at University of Oregon

“Landscape for Humanity: Multifunctional Landscapes Co-Designed for Vulnerable Populations”

Profile picture of SDC Distinguished Guest Lecturer Yekang Ko.Yekang Ko will present an award-winning design initiative called “Landscape for Humanity (L4H),” which she co-founded and is currently leading in Eugene, Oregon. L4H designs and builds a multifunctional landscape system to engage social justice and to improve the conditions of vulnerable communities. Yekang Ko is an Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Oregon. Her research and teaching focus on urban sustainability and climate action planning and design. She is currently directing the undergraduate (BLA) program and the Sustainable Cities and Landscapes Hub of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU).
