Jerry Page Laford Memorial Scholarship
The CMAA Pacific Northwest Chapter is accepting scholarship applications for the 2017-2018 school year. If you will be enrolled in a Construction Management or Engineering degree program within a Pacific Northwest college or University during the next school year, you are eligible to apply. The Pacific Northwest Chapter will award at one scholarship each in the amount of $3000 to an undergraduate student and to a graduate student. We will also be awarding an additional $500 in the Jerry Page Laford Memorial Scholarship.
Simply complete the scholarship application, making sure to refer to the application directions, and return it to firstname.lastname@example.org by the May 3rd deadline. Verification of current enrollment status and latest GPA will be required at time of selection and payment of scholarship, should you be chosen as winner.
All scholarship applications are read and evaluated by the scholarship committee, which then makes its recommendations to the Chapter Board of Directors. The Board approves all scholarships awarded, and its decisions are final. It is the Directors’ intent that the scholarship reward merit, as demonstrated by academic excellence, advisor’s evaluation, extracurricular activities, employment experience (if applicable), and quality of essay. (Financial need is not considered when determining merit.)
We are using the 2017 NW Chapter Scholarship format which can be found on the National web page at http://www.cmaafoundation.org/scholarships/application-process. The winning scholarships will be awarded at our Project Awards, Scholarship and Distinguished Owner Awards event at the South Lake Seattle Ivar’s on May 18.
