WSU students win bid competition

A team of construction management students from Washington State University won the Northwest Construction Consumer Council’s annual Student Bid Competition in February 2016.

The event was held at the Cascade Bicycle Club in Seattle. Students bid actual tenant improvements done by Hoffman Construction for the bicycle club at Magnuson Park.

The WSU team, pictured below, was Michael Ruether, Brad Neudorfer, Marcus Konopaski, Kate Wallen, Stephen Bradshaw, and Marie Landsverk.

Other schools in the competition were the University of Washington, Central Washington University, and Oregon State University.

Judging was conducted by NWCCC members Carol Rhodes of the Port of Tacoma, Stan Hummel of King County Wastewater, and Rick Heilmann of Tesoro.
