Summer Internships: Deadlines Approaching

The clock is ticking on summer internship opportunities for students in the College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Resource Sciences. In the next few weeks, application deadlines arrive for internships exploring careers such as landscape architecture and design, horticulture, organic farming, viticulture and agribusiness. Students in all grade levels are encouraged to apply.

“Internships allow students to apply what they are learning in the classroom to real world work experiences,” said Kim Kidwell, director of the Center for Transformational Learning and Leadership and executive associate dean at CAHNRS. “Bringing the gap between learning and doing is an ideal way to obtain career-ready skill sets that accelerate professional success,” she added. “Industry exposure allows students to build a professional network that may help them find the ideal job after graduation.”

To get started, the Center for Transformational Learning and Leadership offers a master list of available internships, tips, timelines and application forms, as well as the CAHNRS Internship Handbook. Learn more here.
