Jolie’s teaching, writing, and images integrate disciplinary perspectives and focus on recognizing the complexity of landscapes. Jolie’s work has appeared in the Fourth River, Terrain.org, Camas and elsewhere. She spent her formative years in South Florida, where she wandered along shorelines, slogged through sloughs, and delighted in subtropical flora and fauna.  In 2017 she was a resident at the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest and PLAYA.

Jolie holds a B.S. in Conservation and Resources Studies from the UC Berkeley and a Bachelors and Masters of Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon.
