Interior Design students on winning teams in NeoCon Charette Competition

Twelve teams with five students from different interior design programs across the country recently participated in the IIDA Student Design Design Charette at NeoCon in Chicago. Only three awards (1st place, 2nd place and People’s Choice) are handed out and WSU was represented with a student on two winning teams.

  • Senior – Alex Scott’s team won People’s Choice (voted on by NeoCon attendees)
  • Senior – Jocelyn Camacho’s team won 2nd Place (voted on by competition judges)

Students are in Chicago with faculty member Genell Ebbini as a culmination to her Navigating Leadership: NeoCon and Sustainability course. During this six-week course students examine the business structure of the built environment in terms of sustainability policies, design, manufacture, operations, and products.
