Interior Design faculty member receives President’s Award for Leadership

Kathleen Ryan, Assistant Professor in the Interior Design program, received the President’s Award for Leadership and Engagement based on work with students and Rural Communities Design Initiative.

Presented in partnership by the CCE and Student Involvement, the President’s Award for Leadership is an honor bestowed annually to students and others who advance leadership and engagement at WSU. Recipients of this prestigious award demonstrate exceptional leadership and service to the university and the community as well as to those who support leadership development in WSU students. The award categories are student, student group, faculty or staff and community organization.

The Rural Communities Design Initiative (RCDI) partners with rural communities to offer a cross-disciplinary approach for re-purposing the built environment.
