Interior Design Students Spend Fall Semester in Florence

Six interior design students are spending the semester studying abroad in Florence under the direction of associate professor Bob Krikac. Their studio project is a conference room but their laboratory is the city. A rich history and phenomenal designs provide ample inspiration for their ideas. They are working primarily by hand as the emphasis is on exploration and expressing the thought process as a part of the dialogue.

Studying Outside the Classroom in Chicago, San Francisco

Students sometimes have to see world-class achievements firsthand rather than in a book or online. So for many students in the School of Design + Construction, study tours to large cities are a requirement before graduating. This semester, for the third consecutive year, the school conducted study tours in Chicago and San Francisco. The Chicago trip was integrated with fourth year students from the architecture and landscape architecture programs, along with third year interior design students.» More ...
