A restoration and management plan for Mill Creek west of downtown will be presented by landscape architecture students at 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, in a Walla Walla City Council work session in council chambers on the second floor of 15 N. Third St.

Students in the School of Design and Construction, in collaboration with several Walla Walla community members, have created the plan for ecological restoration and urban design of a two-mile section of Mill Creek. A new program in construction engineering within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the School of Design + Construction is proving popular, and the hope is for it to be a full-fledged major in the next year.
