LMN Architects Hosts Studio Mid-Reviews

In mid-November, 22 third year architecture students, lead by faculty members Omar Al-Hassawi and Chris Masicampo, held their studio mid-reviews at the offices of LMN Architects in Seattle.

The students were challenged to propose a contemporary design for a public library on a site located at the intersection of the Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhoods of Chicago, adjacent to the Bloomingdale trail. Their proposals were critiqued by professionals from multiple architecture firms in the Seattle area, including the Miller Hull Partnership, Olson Kundig, and the host firm of LMN Architects.

Students Meet Integrated Industry Professionals

A group of twenty-three Construction Management and Architecture students, led by Dr. David Gunderson and Professor Jason Peschel, attended the 2015 Design-Build (DBIA) Conference and Expo in Denver on November 2nd – 4th. The conference was loaded with networking and learning opportunities for students, faculty, and industry representatives alike. The continuing education sessions focused on topics ranging from DBIA best practices to innovation to mentoring of students and young professionals.
