“A City Between Waters” Architecture Student Conference

The American Institute of Architecture Students West Quad Conference, “A City Between Waters” in Seattle, WA, attracted nearly 200 students from across the country. The conference ranMarch 19-22 at the Seattle Public Library and featured a series of speakers, tours, and professional development activities.

The list of speakers included Russ DavidsonJim Graham, Phil GruenSusan Jones, Grace Kim, David MillerAyad Rahmani, and Steven Rainville.

The conference was organized and hosted by the Washington State University AIAS chapter.  Greg Kessler serves as the student organization’s faculty advisor and moderated the speaker’s panel Saturday morning.

Tours made stops at several well-known firms, in addition to organized activities at iconic Seattle locations such as Freeway Park, Bainbridge Island, Olympic Sculpture Park, and Capitol Hill.
